SCHULTZ, Joanne E. – Born to Patrick and Pauline Sullivan on March 27, 2932 in Spokane. She attended Havermale and graduated from North Central High School in 1950. Joanne passed away at home, Friday evening, January 28, 2011 with her loving husband, Don and daughter, Frances at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Arnold and Donald Derifield and three sisters, Mary Ellen (Monie) Trastman, Betty Meech and Elaine Hill. Also by her beloved brother-in-law, Harry Weisser. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rudy Baunach, whom she married in 1959. They moved to Seattle that year. Rudy passed away in Seattle in June 1964. Joanne is survived by her husband, Don, of 43 years, and her daughter, Frances Baunach Case of Seattle. Also by her sister, Patricia Freisser and two nieces, Cheryl Stone and Kathy O Sullivan of Spokane. Everyone who ever met Joanne, loved her instantly! We will never forget her love of cooking and canning, decorating cakes and making her own beautiful homemade candies. A special thanks to Hospice of Spokane, especially Nancy and LouAnne. Their care of Joanne and her family will be remembered with gratitude. A service will be held with Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA 99207 on Thursday, February 3, 2011. The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Spokane, in lieu of flowers. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Spokane Valley
