Weatherly, Glen E. Glen passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2011 at home with his family. He was born on July 25, 1937 in Thompson Falls, MT and grew up in Careywood, ID where he attended grade school in a one-room schoolhouse. He attended high school in Sandpoint, ID where he played trumpet in the band and met his wife of 54 years, Barbara Breinich. Glen loved singing, music, and sang in the high school choir. Following high school he attended the University of Idaho, majoring in music. Glen spent his entire 37-year working career with Washington Water Power (Avista) where he started out as an accountant and retired as an application analyst. During his career he helped program WWP's first main frame computer. Glen is survived by his wife Barbara; sons Gary and Doug; daughter Debbie; brother Dick; mother Monte Bishop; grandchildren Cassaundra, Brendan, Cameron, Jarod, Nontani and Rana and great-grandchildren Corrine and Brayden. Glen loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing, golf, cutting firewood, and camping with family and friends. During their retirement, Glen and Barbara (his lovely still 22 year old wife) enjoyed extended trips to Alaska, Africa, and Europe. Glen was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who was very generous and loving. He faithfully served the Lord at First Church of the Nazarene where he sang in the choir and was very involved in refurbishing the church's 1914 Wurlitzer pipe organ. A memorial service will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., Spokane, WA on Saturday, March 26th at 1:00 pm.
