Clark U. Geer (age 76) passed away April 16, 2011 at the Royal Park Care Center in Spokane, WA. He was born on July 8, 1934 in Kettle Falls, WA to parents Lewis and Mabel Geer. Clark was raised on a farm in Kettle Falls and worked at Columbia Lumber Mill also in Kettle Falls. He served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1957 – 1959. After the service, Clark worked as a roofer for 17 years in Phoenix, AZ. He returned to Washington where he worked for Vaagen Bros. Lumber Mill for 21 years, before retiring in July of 1996. All of Clark’s friends called him “farmer”. His favorite pastime was fishing. Clark is survived by his loving wife Evelyn; two sons, Paul (Allyson) and Robert; daughter, Susan (Sean) Knowles; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Neil (Geneva) Geer; sisters, Jackie (Sandy) Stahley and Charlotte (John) Zezinka; numerous nieces and nephews. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Mabel Geer; three sisters, Arrillia Bennett, Betty McCary, and Marguerita Brady. At Clark’s request, there will be no memorial service. Interment with military honors will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 beginning at 1:30PM at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA.
