Kathryn Szulerecki

SZULERECKI, Kathryn (WINNETT, HEALY) (Age 91) - Passed away on April 28, 2011 at Sunshine Gardens Health Facility. She was born on August 19, 1919 in Bainsville, MT. Her early years were spent in the Dayton-Walla Walla area and then moved to Spokane in 1946. Kathryn worked in the shoe department at the Crescent store in Spokane for about 30 years. She was a loving mother, terrific grandmother and a proud great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Margret Johnson (Mike); grandchildren, John Johnson (Cheryl), Renee Hess (John), Rhonna Rockwell (Andy) and LeeAnn Harris (Gene); great grandchildren, Bryan Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Leah Johnson, James, Julie, David, Laurie Hess and Tia and Olivia Harris. Preceded in death by her son, Bob Szulerecki; granddaughter, Barbara Johnson; husbands, Leo Winnett and John Szulerecki; her sister, Alice Benson; brothers, Dale, Joe, Paul, Leo Dennis and Harold Healy. Kathryn was a strong and very independent person that fought a courageous battle with kidney failure and a stroke the last few months of her life. A special "thank you" to all the staff at Sunshine Gardens for the wonderful care they gave her while she was there. Visitation will be held on Thursday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA.
