BULLARD, Alice B. - Passed away peacefully on the evening of May 27th at Royal Park Care Center. She was 93 years old. She was born on August 16, 1917 in Helena, Oklahoma to Viola and Guy Curtis. Alice graduated from high school in Shattuck, Oklahoma in 1936 and married shortly, thereafter to Clarence Bullard. In 1937, during the dust bowl days, they moved to western Washington where her brother Everett resided. In 1941 they moved to Spokane. They were married 56 years til his death in 1992. They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. Alice was a long time member of North Hill Christian Church. She was a wonderful homemaker and seamstress and made many baby blankets and clothes for her children and grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her three brothers and grandson, Chad L. Bullard. Alice leaves behind three children, Deanne and Dick Miller, Beverly and Tim White and Larry and Linda Bullard; grandchildren, Denise Miller, Darla Weber, Doug Miller, Tim White, Jr., Kristen Akright, Leslie Blodgett, Melissa Horn, Amy Witschel, Amanda Bullard; and great grandchildren, Mckenzie Miller, Derek Miller, Anne Meinke, Danielle Meinke, Airianna Horn, Breanna Horn, Braeden Weber, Sarina Horn, Scott Meinke, Alyssa Miller, Sophia Bullard and Travis Horn. Before moving to Royal Park Care Center, Alice spent six enjoyable years with friends at Fairwinds Retirement Center. The family really appreciates the outstanding care Alice received at Royal Park Care Center. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Rev. Richard Talley, officiating. Private interment will follow later. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alice's name may be made to the North Hill Christian Church or to The Salvation Army.
