Ruby Rose Reynolds

December 15, 1920 — May 30, 2011

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend entered in to rest with the Lord on Monday May 30, 2011. She was born on December 15, 1920 to George & Delia Potvin in Okanogan, Washington the 12th of fourteen children. Ruby is the last to join her brothers and sisters in Heaven with her beloved mother and father. We will miss her but rejoice in her journey. Ruby is survived by her husband Mansfield and their three sons M.G. “Boots” (Dawn), Bruce (Gloria) and Wayne (Brenda). Ruby & Mans have eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews too numerous to count. Ruby and Mans were married in Okanogan, WA on August 26, 1939 they would have celebrated their 72nd year together this year. Ruby and Mans lived in Omak for the first two years of their marriage. From there they were in Spanaway, WA until 1949 when they moved to the Spokane area. During her life Ruby worked at Betty & Lees Café and Arnold’s Hotel but her hardest and most joyous job was raising her sons and keeping house for Mans. Ruby enjoyed camping, horse back riding, bowling and crocheting as well as going to bingo which she was very good at. Nothing was more important to Ruby than family whether you were born in to it or simply adopted into her embrace. You always knew you were loved and always welcome no matter what. If you showed up at meal time you were fed, if you came early you stayed until it was time to be fed. Ruby loved family reunions it was her chance to catch up with family and reminisce. She could never get enough time visiting and now that she is in heaven with so many of her loved ones we can only pray that we will be blessed to join Ruby when time comes. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday June 4th at 10:00 am at Peone Cemetery.
