James "Jim" William Campbell November 5, 1936-July 25, 2011 Jim Campbell, also known as "Lefty" and "Pumpkin", died after battling lung cancer. Mr. Campbell was a lifelong resident of Spokane. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1954 and attended Washington State University. Mr. Campbell was a colorful, nonconformist, who often took the road less travelled. He chose a career in the gaming industry, most notably owning and racing horses and was a well-known fixture at Playfair racecourse. He is survived by his long time partner and ex-wife, Margaret Soderberg, brother Don Campbell, sons Keith and Dan Campbell, grandson Brandon, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Edith Campbell. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Annie Fannie's (the former Stockyards Inn) 3827 E Boone Avenue, Spokane on Monday August 1, 2011 at 1:00pm.
