James Winston Gramps

GRAMPS, James Winston (age 90) – Entered into rest in Spokane, WA on July 28, 2011. Born in Spokane to Harry and Frances (Dethloff) Gramps on June 30th, 1921, Jim attended local schools before joining the U.S. Army to serve in WW II. Following his military service, Jim returned to the Spokane area where he owned and operated the Clear Lake Resort. Later in life, he worked for the maintenance department of Eastern Washington University. Jim is survived by his wife, Jessie Gramps, at their home in Spokane; and step-daughter, Mindy Dennis. Memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at “The Clubhouse” San Sousi West, 3231 W Boone Ave, Spokane, WA. Private interment at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, POB 2472 Spokane, WA, 99210-2472.
