Bob entered into rest on October 16, 2011. He followed his wife of 63 years, AnnaMarie, for whom he cared in every way until her death in December of 2010. He joined his parents, Otto and Ethel (Allen) Anderson as well as his sister, Zelda Lee. We who are now left behind include his daughters, Marcia (Larry) Vance and Marilyn Anderson; son, Robert (Debbie) Anderson; granddaughters, Kathy (Brandon) Matsuda and Kris (Tim) Morones; great grandchildren, Nicole and Aaron Matsuda; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Robert was an alumnus of Rogers High School in Spokane and of Washington State College of Engineering in Pullman. He signed with the U.S. Navy after graduation and served during World War II. Later he worked as an electrical engineer for the Washington Water Power Company in Spokane. Bob enjoyed anything electronic or mechanical from his early days as a ham radio operator to later ones with his home computer. He snow skied nearly every winter until he was past 80 years old, and he spent as much of every summer as possible at his cabin on Priest Lake. He also liked to create layers of sawdust from several projects in his basement workshop. Dad built the family home in Spokane and lived there until very shortly before his death. He was a conscientious provider for his family and the best possible example of a truly decent human being. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 12 Noon to 5:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Burial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2011 in the chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall St., Spokane, WA.
