Ardella M. Renn

Ardella Marie Renn (age 88) entered into rest on November 11, 2011 in Spokane, WA. She was born on July 5, 1923 to parents John and Mildred (Purrier) Betts in Dunn Center, ND. Ardella graduated from Killdeer High School in Killdeer, ND and attended ND State Teachers College in Bismarck, ND. She received her teaching certificate, and taught school in a one room school house for several years. She married Ralph Renn in 1944 and together they raised their family. Ralph was a military man, so Ardella was able to travel the world over with him. They moved to Spokane in 1968 where she enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Ardella and Ralph were married for 65 wonderful years before his passing in 2010. Ardella loved to square dance, bowl, and she also enjoyed upholstering, and leather crafts. She is survived by her daughters, Lorelei (Mike) Fulton of Malaga, WA, Aylette (Walt) Ness of E. Wenatchee, WA, and Shalla (Paddy) Doyle of Homedale, ID, eight grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Private interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Rosalia. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
