Michael S Slocum

Michael Spencer Slocum January 29, 1952 - December 11, 2011 Michael graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1970 after which he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he spent time stationed in Thailand and at Nellis Air Force Base. After being honorably discharged he worked for many years at Alcoa in Addy, Wa. as an EMT and security guard. Michael is survived by his family Nan and Dale Gilbert, Craig Slocum, Terry Slocum and Judy Benson, and Larry and Virginia Slocum. He is also survived by his nephews Andrew Slocum and Todd and Chad Gilbert as well as many devoted friends. Michael enjoyed hunting and hiking in his spare time but it was his humor that will be missed the most. His light hearted outlook on life was an inspiration to all who knew him. He has been taken to Riplinger's in Spokane, where a time and date of service will be determined.
