Lloyd George Breeden (January 31, 1924 - December 25, 2011) As a boy in Squaw Bay, Idaho, Lloyd was an avid hunter and fisherman. In spite of the hardships of the depression, he had fond memories and many entertaining stories of his early years. In World War II, as a ball turret gunner in a B17, Lloyd displayed the kind of strength and courage that we could only imagine. His radio man, J.R. (Shorty) Windborn, remained a close friend throughout his life, and introduced him to his sweetheart: Corinne Lenore Bush, who he married and spent 62 happy years with in Spokane. Lloyd graduated from Gonzaga University and worked as a teacher and then as a principal. He relished his time in the classroom, especially the time he spent reading poetry to children. His strong, yet gentle voice brought a good story to life, and the cafeteria to order. Lloyd and Corinne had three children: Gloria Lynn Staudinger, Linda Louise Breeden-Bradley and Thomas Eugene Breeden. Corinne, Gloria and Linda survive, with their families and with many fond memories of Lloyd and the life they shared with him. At his request, there will be no memorial service.
