James Ralph Gady, born August 18th, 1933 in Spokane, Washington, entered the Lord's presence on December 26th, 2011. Jim was a graduate of Mead High School and served with the Army Corps of Engineers as a Sergeant in the Korean War. After returning from Korea, he married his high school sweetheart, Marjorie Becker, on October 12, 1956. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this past October. He attended Whitworth College and earned both a bachelors and masters degree. He then taught in both the Riverside and Mead School District. In 1971, he founded Gady Pump and Electric. Jim was the Master of Halfmoon Grange and will always be a legacy of the Half Moon and Wild Rose Prairie for his involvement in the community. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Gady; children, Sandy, Phil (Heather), and Steve (Martha) Gady; grandchildren, Sarah, Stephanie, and Geoffrey Gady; brother, Larry (Betty) Gady and nephews, Dwayne (Barb) and David (Sherrie) Gady. The family expresses their thanks to Dr. Stephen Anthony, Dr. Bruce Bouma and the staff at Holy Family Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either the Mead Education Foundation in memory of Jim Gady or the Wounded Warrior Project. There will be service at Riplinger Funeral Home 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA, on December 30th beginning at 11:00am as well as a graveside service at Spokane Memorial Gardens at 1pm.
