Lt. Col. Ralph C. Hutto, Jr. (Retired) (age 92) entered into rest on January 14, 2012. Ralph was born on January 13, 1920 in Shreveport, LA to parents Sally and Ralph Hutto, Sr. He served the US Army for two years and then joined the US Air Force, where he proudly served until his retirement in 1971. Ralph was a pilot of B-51 Stingrays and the B-52 Bomber. He worked at the Pentagon with the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1966 – 1970. In 1970, Ralph was reassigned to Fairchild AFB and became the Commander of the 92nd Transportation Squad. He was very active and enjoyed dancing, going out to dinner, BBQ’s, LSU football, and the pool. In 2008, Ralph married Sheryl Buchheit-Hutto who loved him very much. Ralph was one in a million, a wonderful husband, father, and stepfather and is greatly missed already. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheryl; sons, Mike (Cindy) Rudd and Christopher Hutto; daughter, Kevie (Mark) Edwards; stepchildren, Matt Buchheit and Ann Buchheit; brother, Bob Hutto; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Interment with Military honors will take place at 2:15PM on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA.
