Mary F. Veltman (age 85) a long time resident of West Seattle passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2012 at her home in Spokane. She was born on February 22, 1926 in Boston, Massachusetts to parents Edward and Marion Corbett. Mary married George Veltman in 1948 and they spent 65 years together before her passing. Mary worked for Korry Manufacturing for many years as a machine operator, running punch presses that made airline instrument panels. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling at the North Bowl in Spokane, and was a member of the VFW Post 1474. Mary is survived by her husband, George Veltman of Spokane; daughter, Cheryl (Scott) Olsen of Spanaway, WA; daughter, Karen (Dan) Hintz of Kent, WA; son, George (Melanie) Veltman Jr. of Seattle, WA; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will begin at 1:15PM Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
