Beverley J. Johnson

October 22, 1930 — February 19, 2012

Beverley Jean (Hudson) Johnson, born October 22, 1930, to Victor H Hudson and Helen Mildred Lewis, went home to be with our Lord on February 19, 2012. She graduated from North Central High School in 1949. She married Donald L. Johnson April 14, 1951. She has two sons David L. Johnson and Michael A. Johnson. She was a Den Mother for Den 7 Pack 204 at Field Elementary for her sons and supported Her sons and her Grandsons in the Boy Scouts. She started training the first of her German Sheppard Dogs in 1966, training many of them to receive their CD in the US and Canada. She also showed some of her Dogs in the Breed Ring to earn their Championships. In the late 1970’s she helped found the Spokane Schutzhud Club, and owned one of the first German Sheppard Dogs in Spokane, that earned their Tracking Certifications. She was a long time member of the Spokane Dog Training Club, and in the 1960’s and 1970’s served as an Instructor, until knee problems forced her to quit. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Donald. She is survived by her brother, Victor W. Hudson and his wife Kenny Beth, Snowflake, AZ; sons David and his wife Cindy, Spokane, Michael and his wife Colleen, Spokane; grandchildren, Dawn Myatt, Everett, WA, Shawn Johnson, Houston, TX, Matthew Johnson, Spokane, Paul Johnson, Ft. Hood, TX and one great-granddaughter, Ivy Bell, Spokane; cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and her beloved German Sheppard Dog, Diva. A “Celebration of Life” will begin at 10:00AM Friday, February 24, 2012 at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 4305 N DIVISION SPOKANE, WA followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery.
