James "Jim" Spangler

James “Jim” M. Spangler (age 62) passed suddenly at his home in Spokane, WA. He was born and grew up in Flandreau, SD. Jim attended South Dakota State University and earned a degree in Engineering. After graduating, Jim enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After his enlistment, Jim relocated to Spokane and assumed an engineering position at Fairchild AFB. He retired after 25 years of service at Fairchild. Jim is survived by his mother, Doretta; and his sister, Cathy of Puyallup, WA. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil. Service will be held at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA on Thursday, April 19, 2012 beginning at 2:15PM.
