Jarrod A. Lallier SPC Army 82nd Airborne

SPC. Army 82nd Airborne Jarrod Allen Lallier (age 20) God blessed our family with 20 wonderful years with our beloved son. On June 18, 2012, Jarrod was killed in action in Zharay District, Afghanistan, paying the ultimate sacrifice for the country he so dearly loved. Our son felt called to serve his country at an early age, and never wavered in his belief to serve our God and country. It came as no surprise that Jarrod was willing to serve friends, family, and acquaintances’. Jarrod made friends wherever he went. With a quick wit, and a smile, Jarrod could put any person at ease, and make anybody feel welcome. In his short 20 years, he lived life fully, never compromising who he was, or his values. He dearly loved his family and friends. Jarrod’s passions’ were serving Christ, family/friends, the military, soccer, animals, fishing, and camping. Jarrod loved big family events where he could just gather, and celebrate life, whatever that meant at that moment. He had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh, even if he was laughing at himself. Jarrod’s awards include the Bronze Star medal, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service medal, the Afghanistan Campaign medal, the Overseas Serve Ribbon, the Combat Infantry’s Badge, and the Parachutist Badge. He was born July 3, 1991 in Spokane, WA to Kim and Gary Lallier. He leaves a sister, Jessica and brother, Jordan. He is also survived by his great grandmother, Rosemary Jones; grandparents, Patty LaBeau, Keith and Debbie Williams, Ken and Kammi McClenahan, Maureen Williams, LeAnn Lallier and recently deceased Herb Lallier. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many close friends, and his brothers in arms. Funeral service will be on Monday, July 2, 2012 beginning at 1:00PM at the Life Center, 1202 N. Government Way. Military honors will be rendered at graveside at Fairmount Cemetery following the service. A reception is to follow at the Life Center, after the burial.
