Hazel B. Luna, 82, of Spokane, WA, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012. Hazel was born on December 28, 1929, in Ferdinand, Idaho to Bertha and Leslie Hudgins. She has lived in the Spokane area since 1969. Prior to moving to Spokane she worked as a nurse and as a cook at a club; where she met Johnny Cash. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Hazel was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ben, who passed away in 2004. She leaves behind a loving family including five children; Colette Hronick, Mary Pulliam, Billy Pulliam, Theresa Olson and Jeanette Null, five sisters; Agnes Carson, Ruby Orfield, Ruth LeFaive, Thelma Cooper and Norma Starkweather, three brothers, Virgil Hudgins, Richard Hudgins and Harold Hudgins, 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews. Her kindness, generous spirit and warm and caring personality endeared her to all who met her and she will be greatly missed by her many friends as well as her family. Viewing at Riplinger Funeral Home will be Thursday, August 2 and Friday, August 3, from 9:00AM – 5:00PM. A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Riplinger Funeral Home 4305 N. Division, Spokane, Washington.
