Helen J Mitchel

Mitchel, Helen J. Our precious mother, Helen J (Young) Mitchel left us to join our father December 5, 2012. She was born February 6, 1924 in Spokane Washington, and was the 5th child of 6, born to Margaret & Eugene Young. Helen was raised in Dalkena until the age of 10, when her mother, sister Ruth and she moved to Spokane. It was a year later that her brothers moved from the farm and joined them. She went to Regal grade school and then on to Rogers High School, graduating January 1942. She went to work at the saw mill until she started nurses training at Sacred Heart Hospital in 1944. Helen met and married Clarence (Mitch) Mitchel in April of 1947. They had 3 daughters and she had the privilege of being a stay at home mom. She was dedicated to her family and will be deeply missed. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 48 ½ years; her sister Dorothy; and brother, Earl. She is survived by her sister and best friend, Ruth Cummings; brothers, Bob and Jim Young; her 3 daughters, Molly (Gary) Pearson, Sally (John) Gregerson, and Patty (Terry) Cameron, 7 grandchildren and their spouses and 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
