GLENN, Lois Mae (Woodward) –Entered into rest on January 4, 2013 in Spokane. She was a lifetime resident of Spokane and a 1947 Graduate of North Central High School. Lois worked at the Spokesman Review, for the Farm Quad Magazine from 1947 to 1952. Past member of Spokane and Lewiston Ladies Junior Chamber of Commerce, Big Sister at the Home of Good Shepherd; now Excelsior, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Business Women’s Club, Press Club, Spokane Yacht Club, Eagles, B.O.F., Friends of Seven, Spokane Enological Society, Lilac City Volkssport, Cub Scout Leader, and Red Hat’s Teal Ladies. Also a member of Telephone Pioneers and the Southside Senior Activity Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Robert N. Glenn; her parents, Jim and Olga Woodward; and by a brother, Lt.Col.(Ret) Ralph E. Rose. She is survived by three sons, Robert W., James L. (& wife, Carol), and Kelly John of Spokane; one daughter, Barbara Jewell of Spokane; five grandchildren, Hayley Jewell and Monica Glenn of Spokane, Whitney Jewell of Randell, WA, and Sean and Ian Glenn of Edmonds, WA; one sister and best friend, Ellen Nelson of Spokane. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southside Senior Activity Center, 3151 E 27th Ave., Spokane, WA 99223. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Riplinger Funeral Home, N 4305 Division, Spokane, WA.
