Edna M Hill (Kirchner) 87, of Spokane, WA departed this earthly life, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 27, 2013. She was born on February 20, 1925 in Spokane, WA to Otto and Laura Kirchner. She grew up in Wenatchee and Coulee Dam, WA and graduated from Mason City High School in 1944. Later she settled back in Spokane, WA. She worked as a clerk at the Burlington Northern Railway in the 50’s and 60’s and tended the family bar (El Dorado Tavern), and later she drove Taxicab for the Yellow Cab Co. After retirement, she was a dedicated volunteer at the Spokane AIDS Network during the 90’s. She loved her family and friends, was always ready to help, give a word of advice, and give you a ride anywhere. She was always on time----Usually early! Edna was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her husbands, and her son, Gordon Lee Peone. She is survived by daughter, Lorrie Williams, Spokane, WA; grandchildren, Tiana M Hamm-Williams, Spokane, Samuel R Pernell, Jr, Spokane, Jerome R Pernell, Seattle, WA, and Alexandria A Brown, Spokane; great grandchildren; Xyrus, Tavius, Tylynn, Xavier, Lavae, Mae-saiah, and Isiah; cousins, Wayte and Arlene Kirchner, Eugene, OR; numerous friends and loved ones. A Home Going Celebration will be held 1 pm, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Holy Temple COGIC, 806 W Indiana, Spokane, WA There will be no viewing or Graveside service as requested by the family.
