Dylan James Heinen

September 8, 1993 — January 29, 2013

Dylan James was greeted by Grandpa Les & Grandma Dolores in Heaven on Tuesday January 29, 2013; he was born September 8, 1993. His parents, Dennis & Donna Heinen, two sisters Stephanie (Ray) Gleason, Kaylene (BJ) Morrow, and brother Drue Heinen (Britnee) survive Dylan. His nephew “Little Ray” Gleason, niece Kennedy Morrow, and baby Morrow (Dylan) on the way. Aunts Vicki Gorman and Sheryl (Wade) Thuline, Uncles Dennis (Gayle) Henjum, Ken Henjum, Daniel (Ida) Heinen, Derek (Ruth) Smith, Jeff (Nancy) Barton, Andy (Janine) and Tony (Carol) Underdahl. Grandparents Sandra Heinen and Jim & Carole Heinen. Dylan went to Westview Elementary, Salk Middle School, and attended Shadle Park High School for 3 years, his sophomore year playing varsity football. He transferred to The Community School to finish his education and received his GED in December 2012. He was a Cub Scout with Pack #18 and was a member of Boy Scout Troop 22, where he earned his Eagle Scout in September 2011. He played Grid Kids and Arena Youth football. He loved playing his Play Station 2 with Ryan, and then moved onto the “XBOX”. He loved going to visit his sisters in Centralia, where he watched them play volleyball, went camping and loved riding the ATV’s. He loved his Pathfinder and loud car stereo. He loved anything and everything fast, especially his riding lawn mower; he always made the yard look like a ballpark. He loved candy bars (especially chocolate), Oreo’s, GIANT sandwiches (“The Boss”), and all crazy foods. He tried everything! He was famous for saying “ Are you going to eat that?” He worked at TimberCreek Grill Buffet for 3 years, where he called himself “The Dishmaster” or “King of the dish pit”. We know that life will hold many “bumps ahead”! In the few years we were able to share with Dylan he impacted each and every one of us. Whether it was his half-cocked smile or his perfect impersonations of his dad, he touched us and has forever left his mark. We will carry on with the comfort in knowing our Dylan is walking beside our Lord, and that not soon enough we will see him again!! The memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday February 2, 2013 at Family of Faith Community Church, 708 W. Nora Ave Spokane, WA 99205. Donations can be made in Dylan’s name at any INB bank branch.
