Pearl Charlotte Halvorson was born on March 12, 1920 in Northwood, ND to Louis and Josephine Amundson and she passed away on April 7, 2013, at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Clarence, in 1997. She is survived by her loving sons, Tom and Dana Halvorson, who she devoted her time raising and nurturing through their formative years and beyond. Pearl was an honors student growing up in North Dakota and after marrying and moving to Spokane, she became an accomplished bowler, ranking at the top of the women’s category in Spokane up until she was in her 70’s. She served as church secretary after Clarence’s retirement at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Pearl was an avid sports fan until the end, supporting her son’s and grand kids in their athletic endeavors with great passion. She loved gardening and kept her place in immaculate condition. Pearl was also preceded in death by her brother, Lemoine Amundson; and sisters, June Tangen and Alvina Enger. In addition to her surviving sons, Tom and Dana, are her grandchildren, Suzanne, Dawn, and Keith; great grandchildren Deacon and Quinten. Pearl also leaves many dear friends and relations locally, in North Dakota, and Minnesota. Hers was a life well lived.
