MOE, Lois M. (age 87) Lois was born July 24, 1926 in Duluth, Minnesota, the third of five children born to Joseph and Agnes Weast; Joseph a steel worker and Agnes a housewife. She came to Spokane in 1951 with her husband James Zehetmir and their three children, Vicki, Steven, and Gregg. James, a lumberjack, died in 1954 from a fatal fall. Lois remarried in 1956 and her second daughter, Carol, was born shortly thereafter. A staunch Democrat, Lois remained active in local and national politics throughout her life. Her immaculately-kept house, lawn, and garden reflected a very strong work ethic. Lois’s timeless energy extended to sporting events where she supported Gonzaga Basketball, Seattle Mariners, and the Seahawks. Lois is survived by her four children, Vicki Folk of Spokane, Steven Zehetmir of Kanab, Utah, Gregg Zehetmir of Newport, WA, and Carol Haloburdo of Spokane; four grandchildren, Leslie, Todd, Jeff, and Jeremiah; seven great grandchildren; and her sister, Marge Lear of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by three husbands, James Zehetmir, Orville Wooddell, and Willis Moe. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25th and Thursday, September 26th from 9:00 – 5:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME 4305 N. DIVISION, Spokane, WA. A “Celebration of Life” service will begin at 11:30AM on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Riplinger Funeral Home followed by interment at Riverside Memorial Park 508 N Government Way.
