Margaret "Mickey" Tollackson

April 16, 1922 — October 29, 2013

Margaret “Mickey”  Tollackson was born in Spokane on Easter Sunday, April 16, 1922. Mickey peacefully passed away October 29, 2013. She was raised in the Chief Garry Park area. Mickey graduated from North Central in 1940 and graduated from Eastern with a degree in education. She taught elementary school in Mt Vernon where she met Philip Tollackson. They were married in 1949 in Spokane. In 1952 their son Christopher was born. Church was always an important part of Mickey’s life. She was active in numerous women’s church organizations, taught Sunday school and VBS. At St Luke’s she wrote words of encouragement to members on behalf of Offerings of the Heart Ministry. Mickey is survived by her daughter-in-law Karen;grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew (Jenn), Peter (Christi): great grandchildren, Wyatt, Sophie, Kaitlin, Mckenzie and Mikayla,;sisters-in-law ,Pat Moylan, Ruth Hanly and brother-in-law,;Harold Rooks, numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil; their son, Chris;siblings, Marie, Virginia, Ed, and Bob.Visitation will be on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 9:00am to 5:00pm at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME 4305 N DIVISION SPOKANE, WA. Memorial Service, Monday ,Nov 4, 2013 beginning at 3:00pm at St Luke Lutheran Church, 9706 N Division. Memorials may be made to St Luke Lutheran Church, PO Box 28948, Spokane, WA 99228. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Fairwood Assisted Living, friends at St Luke Lutheran Church, and Holy Family Hospital for their care for Mickey.
