Charles Chester Clark passed away at St. Joseph’s Care Center on November 8, 2013. He was born on July 21, 1920, to Alice Amanda Bosley and Charles Clark of King County, Washington. In May, 2013, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Nettie) B. Wynecoop, the talkative family member. He had four siblings: Lois Clark Bartlett (deceased), Wayne Clark (deceased), Arthur Alexander Clark (deceased), and Ellen Clark Bacheller of Muskegon, MI. Charles is survived by two sons: Richard H. Clark of Honolulu, HI, and Donald C. Clark of Santa Fe, NM; and four grandchildren: Chris Clark, Tim Clark, Kelli Clark, and Aaron Clark; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. After the death of his parents, Charles, and his younger siblings, Arthur and Ellen, spent several years at Hutton Settlement, where he developed an aptitude for mechanics. During the early 1940’s he worked for Boeing in Seattle and later joined the Army during World War II. After that he and Nettie settled in Spokane where he worked for Washington Water Power (Avista) until his retirement in 1982. Throughout his life, Charles was very talented and inventive when working with any sort of mechanical device, often repairing things for friends and relatives. During his last three years he resided at Moran Vista Assisted Living. A memorial service will be held at Fairmount Cemetery Chapel 5200 W Wellesley at 11:30 a.m. on June 16.
