Jean Gellner (age 73) Viewing will be from 9:00am - 5:00pm on Friday and Saturday January 24 - 25 followed by a funeral service at noon on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 4305 N DIVISION in Spokane, for longtime Spokane resident Jean (Cobane) (Rouleau) Gellner, 73, who passed away on January 21 in Spokane. Born on January 14, 1941 in Ellensburg, she graduated from Connell High School in 1958 and later attended Kinman Business College. Mrs. Gellner moved to the Spokane area in 1979 and was the first female manager for Met Life Insurance. She was married to Al Rouleau from 1960-81. She later married Jon Gellner in 1982. Mr. Gellner passed away in 2007. Mrs. Gellner, a member of the Spokane Yacht Club for 25 years, enjoyed world traveling, bingo, going to the casino and she loved her cats. She is survived by her brother, Don Cobane of Everett, WA; one son, Tom (Julie) Rouleau of Granger, WA; five daughters, Theresa (Rodney) Douvia of Deer Park, Eileen Rouleau of Spokane, Desiree (Monty) Madsen of Spokane, Debbie (Mike) Lieb of Spokane, and Denise (John) Berry of Chattaroy; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. A reception will follow the service at the Riverview Community Building, E. 2117 North Crescent, Spokane.
