Anders Thyssen Scott

SCOTT, Anders T. (age 74) Entered into rest while fishing on August 19th at the Lincoln Boat Launch north of Davenport, WA. Born to Peter and Magda Scott in Spangle, WA on December 18, 1939, Anders was a lifelong resident of Spangle. He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his sister, Eileen Scott. He is also survived by his loving companion, Melodye McBride and family; by his children, Robert Scott, Janet Scott, Stacy Kopsho, and Cynthia Parker and their families; by his devoted childhood friend, Alan Morosch and numerous friends and Masonic brothers from Spangle and all over the area. He had farming in his blood. Following school, Anders enlisted in the National Guard and served from 1959 to 1965, while continuing to farm. He was Past Master of Spangle Masonic Lodge #131, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, El Katif Shriners, and Adelphi Chapter #188 OES, where he held numerous offices. He often helped out at the Food Bank and elsewhere as he could. He genuinely loved farming, fishing, camping, and more recently took up bicycle riding. He was a good man who loved the land. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, August 25, 26, 27, between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 28th, 2014 at 11:30 AM at Riplinger Funeral Home with Pastor David Ladines officiating and Rose Croix participating. Interment with Masonic and Military Honors will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A celebration of Ander's life will continue on Saturday, September 6th, 2014 at the Spangle Service Club in Spangle, WA at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
