Dorothy E Brown Burnett, 101 years young, passed away in Spokane on December 22, 2014. Born 1913 in Cottonwood Idaho to Dixon H Brown and Lillybell (Wellborn) Brown. Dorothy is survived by daughter, Barbara Burnett Skaer, Two grandchildren, William (Debbie) Skaer and Susan Skaer, seven Great grandchildren: Natalie (Dustin), Christian, Aimee, Hillary, Elizabeth, Brandon and Taylor, one great-great-grandchild Hadley. She married Donald R Burnett in 1929 and lived in Lewiston, Idaho, Spokane Washington, and Phoenix, Arizona. They raised two children, Barbara and Dixon. After their retirement, Dorothy and Don lived in Hemet, California. They loved to travel and traveled to 49 of the United States, Alaska was the only state not explored. Dorothy was an excellent seamstress and sewed most of her clothing. She also enjoyed gardening and belonged to Lincoln Heights Community Church as well as the Southside Senior Center. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother, husband, Donald, son Dixon, grandson, David and granddaughter Tammy. There will be a Memorial Service for Dorothy at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division Street, Friday, January 16 at 3:00 pm.
