Anna Marie Lopez (Age 81) Wife, mother, grandmother Anna Marie Lopez, passed away Thursday, 1/29/2015 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA of pneumonia and congestive heart failure. She died peacefully with her precious husband and kids around her, the way she would have wanted it. Anna Marie was born in Milford, NE to Hal and Lucille O’Neel on December 17th, 1933. She was the oldest of 5 children, and the family eventually moved to Spokane in the mid-1940s. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1951, and eventually trained to become a Medical Transcriptionist and worked for many years at various hospitals, one of which she met her future husband Morrie. They were married at 1st Assembly of God on May 25th, 1957. She and Morrie raised 4 kids together. They were faithful members of their church, 1st Assembly of God, and then later, Valley Assembly of God. Anna enjoyed reading, flower gardening and traveling with her family, and she took many trips south of the border to Mexico. She is survived by her husband Mordecai ‘Morrie’ Lopez of 57 years; her 4 children, Victoria Balmes, Mark Lopez, Michele Caudill, and Michael Lopez all of Spokane; 11 grandchildren, Mateo Balmes, Eric Balmes, Danna Campo, Nate Lopez, Danny Lopez, Stephanie Olson, Rachel Lopez, Jeremy Caudill, Nikki Caudill, Taylor Caudill, Alexandra Lopez; and 7 great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Ryelan Balmes, Halle Rae Campo, Brooklyn Campo, Gracelynn Campo, Jacob and Leah Lopez. She has 4 surviving siblings, Bob O’Neel, Lyle O’Neel, both of Spokane, Sharon Leonard of Boise, ID and Ron O’Neel of Snoqualmie, WA. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Valley Assembly of God on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11:00am 15618 East Broadway Avenue, Spokane Valley, WA 99037. Viewing will be prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00am. Interment will be on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 beginning 11:00am at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery 5909 S. Cheney-Spokane Rd.
