Robert "Bob" B Earsley

Robert Barrett Earsley (Age 90) March 27, 1924 to February 03, 2015 Went home to the Lord, Tuesday evening at Hospice House of North Spokane. He was one of four siblings born to Barrett and Mildred Earsley Sandig. Robert graduated from Rogers High School.He served in the US Army 75th Infantry Division in Europe, WWll, from 1943 to 1946, separated with grade of T5 Corporal. Robert married Barbara Shults in 1947, and had three sons; Steven, Robert, and Thomas.He married Shirley Fisher in 1980, and enjoyed a loving relationship until Shirlee’s passing in May 2013.Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; sister, Ruby; two wives; and son, Robert C.Survivors include his sister, Ruth Dawson of Spokane; her daughters, Susan and Dee Dee; sons, Steven and Thomas; grandson, Steve White; great-granddaughter, Kylie White; granddaughter, Sierra Earsley, and step sons; Mike and Ron Fisher; and step grandson, Ron Jr.  Robert worked for Kaiser Aluminum in Mead WA for 47 years. He was involved with stock car racing at the Mead WA track in the late 40’s and early 50’s, with his brother Dick. He enjoyed watching the NASCAR races, collecting Hudsons, Kaisers, and Lincolns. He visited Ainsworth hot springs on numerous occasions. Robert was an avid fresh water fisherman and hunter. He was easy to engage in conversation and met with several friends at Granny’s Buffet and The Golden Corral on a regular schedule. He enjoyed playing cards and bowling. Robert supported the annual Kaiser Reunion and potluck dinner, beginning in 1982, always snapping pictures of attendees and putting them on display at next year’s gathering. Thank you to the Hospice House North staff for services rendered, they were above the family's expectations.Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 11 and Thursday, February 12th from 9:00 – 5:00PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME 4305 N Division St. Spokane, WA 99207. A “Celebration of Life” will begin at 11:00AM on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Riplinger Funeral Home followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
