Warren E. Smith went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2015 at the age of 84. He served in the US Air Force and Washington Air National 116th Guard, 141st. Warren, “Smitty”, served for 39 years and retired at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, Fairchild Air Force base. Warren enjoyed camping with his family and staying at his cabin in Montana. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, N. Elaine Smith. Warren and Elaine had three children; the late Rex Smith (Sharon), Renee Smith, and Forrest Smith (Achara). He had four grandsons, Garrett Smith (Robin), Grant Smith (Neshia), Ryan Smith, and Dustin Smith. He had three great grandchildren, Gavin Smith, Grady Smith, and Graycen Smith. He is also survived by sister-in-laws, Dorothy Smith and Angela (Harry) Denny; brother-in-law, David Hatch (Erika); many nieces and nephews. Warren was born in Granville, North Dakota and is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Genevieve Smith; brother, Darrell Smith; and sister, Lois Smith. God gave us sunshine, birds and trees The star-filled sky above. He gave us beauty, flowers and friends and special folks to love… And then because each life would bring its share of stress and care. He gave to us a wondrous gift- The Miracle of Prayer. A military graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Terrace on February 17, 2015 beginning at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
