Stanley D Bleecker Born February 15, 1939 - Died June 9, 2015 Stan was born in February 15, 1939 in Santa Monica California to Lester Eugene Bleecker and Bertha Davis. In 1957, he enlisted in the US Army where he specialized in Air Defense Missile Fire Control at Fort Lewis Washington. Stan met his future wife, Jeanne, while out with friends, and they were married on August 28, 1959 in Renton Washington. During their marriage, they had 5 children and moved around quite a bit. In 1976, the family was living in Simi Valley California when he was offered a job transfer with NCR to Fairbanks Alaska. So it was off to Alaska, where they stayed and homesteaded without water, phone or electricity for a time. They moved again to Anchorage, and in 1982, was transferred back down to the lower 48 and lived in Elma Washington etc. Stan retired from his job as a computer field technician after 35 years with NCR. Shortly afterwards, they moved to Nine Mile Falls Washington to be closer to grandchildren. Not long after retirement, they went on vacation to visit friends in Florida and liked it so much they bought a winter home there, and became snowbirds. Stan enjoyed tinkering with old cars, traveling, building computers, fishing, target shooting and gardening. Everywhere they lived, Stan could turn the yard into something you would see in better homes and garden. Stan is survived by his wife, Jeanne, of 56 years, his 5 children: Trudie McFall, Jeff Bleecker (Jeanne), Dana Erickson(Tim), Russ Bleecker(Mona), Melissa Rasanen; two sisters, Leslee Best and Susan Shaw; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and his two loyal K-9 companions, Tia and Zoey. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His passing was unexpected but peaceful and is greatly missed.
