Born in Seattle, Henry moved to Spokane as a young man and graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1949, before attending Gonzaga University. He was a very active dancer, during the early 1950’s, with “The Silver Spurs”, Spokane’s ‘iconic’ folk-dancing performance troupe. Henry was honored to have known and danced with many of the originals, including “The Silver Spurs” patron saint (and 1946 founder), “Red” Henderson. During those early fifties, Henry was also proud to serve our country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. Henry is survived by his wife and loving companion of 45 years, Betty, at their home; son, John Wick of Seattle, WA; stepsons, Brett Dieter of Charlottesville, VA, and Mark Dieter of Seattle, WA; and by several grandchildren. Private family services are pending.
