Leonard W. Cardwell

CARDWELL, Leonard W. (Age 80) -On September 16th, 2015, we lost the patriarch of our family, Leonard Walter Cardwell. He fought a valiant 5yr. battle with cancer, viewing each challenge along the way as merely a speed-bump that needed to be overcome. He was a retired businessman who loved country music and had a soft spot for all animals, especially English Bulldogs. The youngest of four, born into a family that worked in many of the industries that helped build the NW, including logging, mining, and construction. He helped protect his country by serving in the Army during the Korean War. Those who met him were introduced to a quiet, gentle, polite gentleman who placed great value on family and home. But to those that knew him best he was much more than that…… He was beautiful. Godspeed pop, grandpa, husband, son, uncle, brother, and friend. We will think about and miss you every day. Memorial service will be held at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA on Sunday, September 27th, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
