Born on July 21, 1948 in Missoula, MT, to Herschel and Beulah Tucker, David entered into Glory on November 4th, 2015 at home in Chattaroy, surrounded in the warmth and care of his wife, of 41 ½ years, Bonnie. Following his school years, David served his country in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. After service, David used his innate talent for working with his hands to become a skilled Machinist. He was proud of his 8 years working for the Union Gospel Mission/Ogden Hall. Eventually, he put his skills to work for the Chief Joseph Dam Project and loved his work. David was never content to sit still. He turned his talents to woodworking and became an enviable woodworker. He built two of the family homes, of which his family will always be proud. He truly enjoyed working with his hands. David is survived by his wife, Bonnie, at their Chattaroy home; two sons and their families, Jason and Chanda, and their three children of Coeur d’Alene, ID, as well as, James and Tiffany and their two children of Spokane, WA; two sisters-in-law and their spouses, Debby and Ed Wilsey of Boise, ID, and Karen and Chet Moffett of Kamiah, ID; also numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of David’s life will be held at the Chattaroy Community Church on Tuesday, November 10th , 2015 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Union Gospel Mission.
