Carolyn "JEAN" Wasem

WASEM, Carolyn “Jean” (81) –Of Mead, Washington, passed away peacefully on the evening of December 12th. Jean is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jimmie L. Wasem; Twin sister, Marilyn “Jane” Lowell of Collinsville, IL; Daughter, Deborah Foster (David) of Lake St. Louis, MO; Son, James Wasem (Shanyn Rickel) of Colbert, WA; Grandchildren, Katherine Foster Stephens (Nick) of Dallas, TX, James Foster of St. Louis, MO, James Wasem and Jayce Wasem of Colbert, WA; Great-Grandson, William “Cannon” Stephens of Dallas, TX. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, William “Kyle” Rader and Hazel Margaret Rader of Ellsworth, IL. “Jean” or “Mamma Was” was loved by all who knew her. A Registered Nurse by profession, Jean was generous and giving to a fault. Even though we mourn her passing, we celebrate her life and the love and care she gave to all. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Riplinger Funeral Home Chapel, 4305 N Division St., Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Illinois Wesleyan University School of Nursing, Bloomington, Illinois in Jean’s name.
