CRAZE, William D. (Age 84) – Bill was born on November 29, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to the late William D. and Gertrude Craze Sr. and went to his final resting place on January 31, 2016. He attended Military School in Tennessee and served in the U.S. Army. Bill moved to Spokane in 1950. He met the love of his life, Lenore Schmidt, and they have been married 64 ½ years. They both were ballroom dancing instructors when they met. Bill enjoyed family life with his three wonderful sons; Bill, Mark and David; two lovely daughters-in-law, Patti and Julia; and grandchildren, Jennifer, Lukas and Nicole, who were adorable in his eyes. Bill had many accomplishments. As a licensed barber he worked his way through school to become a Certified Public Accountant and was in his own practice for over 30 years. Bill was a licensed Ham operator, and a member of the National Rifle Association. Other interests were target practice, woodworking, dancing, poetry, literature, history, sports, politics, religion, and classical music. In his early years he played Poker and Chess. Bill’s sense of humor was enjoyed by everyone he met. His mind was one of his greatest assets. Bill became a born again Christian at age 55 and taught Bible classes for many years. He was an ordained Pastor and spent many hours studying scripture. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Come and share your memories. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be given to the Union Gospel Mission.
