Billy Dean Spitzer

SPITZER, Billy Dean (Age 80) – Born on December 26, 1935 in Ballantine, MT; entered into rest on April 13, 2016 in Spokane, WA. Billy grew up working on farms in Montana before moving to Spokane and making it his home for 52 years. He joined the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea for 2 years during peace time. Billy worked as a machinist for Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood before retiring in 1984. Billy was a member of the Wandermere Golf Course and the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed golfing and working in his yard and garden. He also enjoyed his cats. Billy had a fabulous sense of humor and enjoyed time spent with family where many smiles and laughs were shared. He is deeply missed. Billy is survived by his loving and devoted wife Leslie with whom he shared 39 years of marriage; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Tamie Spitzer of Spokane; granddaughter, Ashley Martz of Spokane; grandson, Andrew Spitzer and his wife, Carley of Mountlake Terrace, WA; grandson, Jacob Spitzer of Spokane; two great grandchildren, Silas and Jude Martz; and many loving extended family members and nieces and nephews. A private family celebration of life will be held, per his wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Humane Society.
