ROZELL, Marjorie Mae March 30, 1924 -- May 10, 2009 Passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2009, at the Hospice House in Spokane, WA. She was born in Almira, WA on March 30, 1924 to Paul W. and Ella Jessen. Moving to Coeur d'Alene, ID in 1927, she graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1941. She graduated from North Idaho Junior College in 1943 and then joined the U.S. Cadet Nurses Corps where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and became an RN in 1946. Over the next 4 years, she worked at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Denver General Hospital and Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, Colorado and Seattle General Hospital in Seattle, WA, while continuing to pursue her Masters Degree in Public Health. In 1950, she married Dr. Paul W. Rozell, D.D.S. and moved to Millwood, WA to begin a life together lasting 48 years before Paul passed away in 1998. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Lauretta Rozell of Kalispell, MT and Col (R) David and Cyndi Rozell of Lawton, OK; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara (Rozell) and Butch Graham of Salem, OR; a sister, Virginia Montana of Spokane, WA; four grandsons, Cameron, Paul, Jeremy, and Kyle; granddaughter, Kelsey; numerous nieces and nephews. Marjorie was active in Eastern Star, Ladies of the Oriental Shrine, Spokane Dental Auxiliary, and Spokane Bicycle Club. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church. Her greatest pleasure was spending and sharing time with family and friends. In place of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children. Viewing will be at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N Division, Spokane, Wednesday, May 13th, and Thursday, May 14th, between the hours of 9 am and 8 pm. Private burial will take place at Spokane Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Service will be held at the 1st Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar, Spokane, on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM.
