McDOUGALL, W.S. "Mac" (Age 94) - Mac went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ and his loving wife Janet on June 1, 2016 at the age of 94. Mac was born on August 10, 1921 in Cleveland, North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents W.W. Mac and Eureka McDougall, and his five brothers, Ted, Tom, Bob, Bill and Charlie; and two sisters, Norma and Bernadine, as well as his wife of almost 64 years, Janet Louise McDougall. He is survived by his sons, Robert and Richard and their wives; grandchildren, Chris, Heather, Sean, Kelly and Bobby; and 14 great grandchildren. He was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. He went into the U.S. Army Air Corps in the 40's and WW II and was awarded a Bronze Star Veteran in the South Pacific Theatre. We are sincerely grateful for the kind and loving care Mac received from the fine staff at the Spokane Veterans Home where he spent his final years in their excellent care. Mac was in the sales business of logging and construction machinery with Rowand Machinery of Spokane, and throughout his career loved working there and was very successful in sales. He was no stranger to music and dancing either, as well as an avid "walker" and without fail 5 miles daily exercise as well as his water skiing passion kept him very fit and no doubt attributed to his life of almost 95 years. He loved the sun, water, his boat, his family and life at all times. He loved cooking for everyone and was really good at it too. There are many people who have been touched by Mac's radiating warmth, love, positivity, and unconditional compassion for every person he met throughout his life. He was a fantastic husband, father, grandfather, and always had huge smiles and a joyous persona that generated the joy in life at all times. He defined what fun is and the creation of it, that's for certain. He was really fond and proud of all of his grandchildren and children and they of him, giving us all tremendous memories of joy and laughter to remember always. We will be forever thankful for our beloved "Mac". A private family service will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park, Spokane, WA.
