Raymond Joseph Thomas

Thomas, Raymond J. (age 99) entered into rest on June 17, 2009 in Pasco, WA. He was born on May 28, 1910 to parents Alexius and Fransica Thomas in Colville, WA. Ray had been a resident of Spokane for 70 years and has been a resident of Pasco for the past 4 years. He married Louise Schwaiger on June 4, 1936 and they were married 61 years before her passing in 1997. Ray worked for many years for the Rainier Brewing Company before his retirement in 1972. He enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren, and playing cards. Ray is survived by his son, Charles (Colleen) Thomas of Spokane; daughters, Catherine Riley of Boise, ID, Louise (Dick) St. Hilaire of Pasco, WA, Mary Wass of Pasco, WA; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Thomas of Pasco, WA; brother, John Thomas of Colville, WA; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. Rosary will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, July 2 at Riplinger Funeral Home 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA with a Mass beginning 10:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 1104 W. Heroy in Spokane . Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Colville, WA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ray’s name to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
