Robert "Bob" D. Hardesty

Hardesty, Robert D. “Bob” (age 84) was born September 3, 1924 and passed away on July 6, 2009. His parents, Frank and Helen Hardesty, older brother, Dr. Jack Hardesty, and his younger sister, Mary Louise Hosington, preceded him in death. Bob grew up on his parent’s farm near Spangle, WA and graduated from Spangle High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Evelyn Parker. Bob and Evelyn had three sons, Robert (Ken) Hardesty, Wayne Hardesty, Ron Hardesty, and one daughter-in-law, Mary Hardesty. Bob’s passion for farming stayed with him all his life. He took over his parent’s farm when his parents retired in 1951. Bob retired from farming in 1990 and his son, Ron, took over the farm. He continued to help Ron every harvest until 2008. Bob will always be missed by his family and friends. A memorial will be held at a later date. Riplinger Funeral Home 4305 N. Division, Spokane, WA entrusted with cremation.
