Colleen Ravay Donahoe passed away on November 1, 2016. She was born on March 22, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Methel L. Burke. Colleen moved with her mother at a young age to Spokane. She was raised in Spokane and graduated with high honors from North Central High School in 1956. She started working at Darigold Farms in March 1957, where she worked until her retirement in April 1997. A great 40 year career! Colleen enjoyed snow skiing, kayaking, and golfing (although not as good as she wanted). She also enjoyed gardening and had a flower garden with beautiful roses. Colleen especially loved dogs. All the dogs on her block knew the sound of her car driving down the block knowing that a doggie treat was coming their way! One of her favorite pastimes was recreational shopping. She was also a great mother and grandmother to her surviving daughters’ Dalene Boone (Jim) and Marlene Palmer (Mike – dec.) and her 3 grandchildren which she adored, Taylor Palmer, Christa Boone and Jameson Palmer. She is also survived by her long-time companion, Robert Brown along with her cousin Phyllis Giboney (David). Mom we will miss you each and every day. Services will be at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to give to mom’s favorite charity; the Spokane Humane Society.
