Rita Ellen Johnson

JOHNSON, Rita E. (Age 63) – Born on January 9, 1953 in Wenatchee, WA; entered into rest on November 17, 2016 in Spokane, WA. Rita was a resident of Pasco, WA for 14 years. She was raised in Spokane to adulthood, and then traveled, living in many states in the USA, and Germany. Rita attended high school in Spokane graduating in 1972. She worked as a bartender in the Tri-Cities for many years. Rita enjoyed playing all types of games. She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine; brother, Mike; and her eldest daughter, Camila. Rita is survived by her husband, Don Johnson of many years; sons, Scott Powrie of Washington and Jason Blanchard of Montana; daughter, Mindy Nimley of Spokane; father, Charles Britts; brother, Steve in Washington; sisters, Marie, Amy, Debbi, Bonnie all of Washington and Denise of Montana; and by many grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. A potluck reception will follow the service at the VFW, 300 W. Mission, Spokane, WA. Interment will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00a.m. at the Dayton Cemetery, Dayton, WA.
