Ione "Toni" V. Lee

LEE, Ione Virginia "Toni" (Age 90) - Entered into rest August 11, 2009 at her home in Colville, WA. She was born on February 17, 1919 in Spokane, WA to Otto and Hazel Fuher. Toni graduated from Mead High School, she played on the first girls basketball team that went to state and won three years that she played. Toni retired from Darigold Farms. She was a member of the Prairie Riders Horse Club and the Eagles Aerie #2 Aux. bowling team for many years. Toni was also a member of the Teamsters Union and a lifetime member of the Windsor Grange. She loved her animals and was never without a horse, dog or cat. Toni is survived by sons, William R. (Bill) Childers of North Palm Beach, FL., Jerry Childers (Diane) of Colville, WA; daughter, Pat Childers of Colville, WA; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 nephews and one cousin. Preceded in death by husband, William E. Childers, Donald Eaton and Glen Lee; granchild, Skipper Abbs; brother, David Fuher; sister, Edyth Becker; and parents, Otto and Hazel Fuher. Toni was a wonderful kind person and loved by everyone who knew her. She will be missed very much by her family and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 1:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Interment will follow at Peone Prairie Cemetery, Mead, WA.
