Alice entered into rest on August 14th 2009 with her loved ones surrounding her. She began life in Eleva, Wisconsin on September 19, 1918. She was born to George and Ethel Tollefson where they lived in the Tollefson Valley. After completing the 8th grade, Alice went to work in the town's hotel to help support her family. It was there that Alice first learned to cook and bake. She married Roy Struck in 1939 and gave birth to Pam and Kaye. They all moved to Spokane, WA in 1942 where Cheryl and Michael were later born. Alice remarried in 1958 to Roy Emch and had the last of her 5 children, Patrick in 1960. Alice lived a rich, happy life enjoying fishing, pinochle, gardening and homemaking. Her specialty during the Holiday timeframe was baking plates of Norwegian cookies and her famous lefsa for all of the family. It seemed every dinner was a 5 course meal at Alice's house. Alice always took such pride in h appearance, dressing to the "nines" at all times. Alice was preceded in death by husbands Roy Struck and Roy Emch, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. She is survived by her sister Doris Sather of Strum, WI; her children, Pam Sullivan, Kaye Struck, Cheryl Kiehn(Ken), Mike Struck, and Patrick Emch (Robin); 17 grandchidlren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom will be greatly missed and remembered for her loving nature, big hugs and thoughtful ways. We love you Mom, Grandma, and GG, you will never be forgotten.
