Robert Wayne Marsalis

Robert W. Marsalis passed away August 14, 2009 in Spokane, where he has lived most of his life. Bobby was born at Barksdale AFB, LA on September 13, 1946. He was a graduate of Medical Lake High School, where in 1964 he was the first from that school to be selected as a member of the first-team all State Basketball team. He was also a graduate of Whitworth College with a degree in accounting. He served his country in the United States Air Force after graduating from High School. He later retired from the United States Post Office. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Marsalis, his brother, Johnson Marsalis Jr., his sister, K. Carol Marsalis, four daughters, Laura, Robin, Jennifer and Mary, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, August 24th from 9 to 5 at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. Division, Spokane, WA. Funeral services will be held at St. Charles Church on August 25th at 1:00, then a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery followed by a reception at St. Charles.
