CLARK, JR., Robert H. - Born on May 18, 1927 in Richmond, CA; entered into rest on August 22, 2009 at his home in Spokane. Bob as he was known to friends and family, arrived in Spokane on January 1, 1928. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1945. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. and received an honorable discharge. Bob was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible for 58 years. He helped to rebuild the original church which was located on Indiana Ave. When the church moved to North Division, Bob helped to build the new church. He also helped building the church camp at Waitts Lake. Bob worked as a painter and carpenter, and later worked as a mail carrier from 1956-1989. Bob was married for 48 years to Margery, who preceded him in death in 1997. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Clark of Spokane; his son, David (Cyndie) Clark of Nine Mile Falls, WA; and two grandsons, Nathan and Evan Clark. He is also survived by two sisters, Charmaine Beckham of Newport, WA and Dolores Whitfield of Mead, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews. It should also be noted that he was an original member of the "over the hill gang". His sisters have given him the title of "best brother". He had a favorite sister, and only his son knows which one it is. Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the new First Church of the Open Bible, 11911 N. Division, Spokane, WA. Interment with military honors will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Fiirst Church of the Open Bible Building Fund of Hospice of Spokane.
